Latin Name: Dasypeltis scabra
Sex: Currently Unknown
African egg eating snake grown to be between 60-76cm (24-30 inches) in length and have a life span of 10 – 15 years. To feed these snakes, you will need a steady supply of quail, finch, canary or other smaller birds’ eggs because as the name suggests, they only eat eggs. They will require a hot spot of about 95 Fahrenheit (35 Celsius) with humidity levels of 40 – 60%. They can become very docile and usually tolerate handling and also make a great pet snake for those not keen on frosting rodents.
