Brazilian Rainbow Boa

Latin Name: Epicrates Cenchria

Sex: Currently Unknown

Brazilian rainbow boas get up to 5ft (1.5m) in length and have an average life span of 20 years. Brazilian Rainbow boas are nocturnal so will generally be more active at night, making it the best time for handling. Hatchling Rainbow Boas are known to be a little nippy, but will soon calm down with regular handling. Like most snakes, Rainbow boas are carnivores so will eat defrosted rats and mice and require a water bowl big enough to fit themselves in, this along side being misted, will help with shedding and keeping humidity levels maintained at 75-80%. Rainbow boas need a basking area of 30 Celsius (86 Fahrenheit).
