Common Boa Constrictor

Latin Name: Boa constrictor

Sex: Currently Unknown

Boa constrictors are large bodied snakes that grow between 8 to 10 feet (2 to3 metres) and have an average life span of 25 years. Like most snakes, they are carnivorous and feed on defrosted mice and rats, eventually eating small rabbits and other large prey. Boa constrictors will need a water bowl, large enough to fit themselves in as they will get in it to cool down and help with shedding skin as well as drinking from, so will need to be changed regularly. They require a basking spot of 88 Fahrenheit (31 Celsius) with humidity levels for 60-70%.
