Red Rubber Frogs

Latin Name: Phrynomantis microps

Male Red Rubber Frogs measure 37–47 mm (3.7-4.7cm) with females being larger at 41–62 mm 4.1-6.2cm. They are a nocturnal species so do most of their hunting at night, feeding on small insects such as crickets. Red Rubber Frogs like to be kept damp and have leaf litter, moss and drift wood to be able to hide under during the day. A water bowl should also be provided as they enjoy swimming and breeding pairs as they lay their eggs in water.
